In addition to making sure all the pieces are in working order, he oversaw installation of the 1993 exhibition of the collection by the Butler Institute of American Art. One of his biggest challenges was packing and coordinating the move of the collection from Rye, New York, to its current location in California. Along with his resourcefulness and remarkable diversity of skills, Christopher has a wonderful sense of humor about the collection and a great affection for many of the pieces.“When we moved the collection we didn’t think it could be transported from New York to California without being destroyed.
