Exhibitions began in 1964, and the museum became known as a champion of new talent. It is a leader in presenting the world’s best contemporary art andhas a reputation for exhibiting highly innovative works by outstanding artists. In 1988 David Bermant supported the INTERACTION: Light — Sound — Motion exhibition and loaned several of his artworks for it.
